Between 9:07 and 9:13 a.m., on August 11, 2012, adhik bhadra (shravan) vadi nam, in
the very auspicious amrit siddhi yog, we shall solemnly perform the first pratishtha of
Shikharji at Siddhachalam. That day, and the following day, we shall perform the
pratishtha of the other 29 Tonks.
In doing so, for the first time in the modern history of our religion, Teerthadhiraj Shikharji would have been
replicated to‐scale, in full. That day, Jains would also become the first religious community in America to have
been fortunate to replicate in this country their most important place of pilgrimage.
Shikharji at Siddhachalam brings alive Guruji’s dream of Siddhachalam as a place of pilgrimage with many
temples in homage to the siddha. May he continue to inspire the generations to come as he has inspired us. It
has been an intense and profoundly blessed experience for my family and me to have been an instrument of
his and your lofty hope and ambition. On behalf of all trustees, volunteers and staff of Siddhachalam, welcome
to this grand and timeless celebration of the path of liberation shown by the Tirthankars.
